Our Strategy

Our strategy is to be disciples who make disciples
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
Jesus final command to the people who would form the nucleus of a new movement was 'Go and make disciples'. Teach them everything including how to make other people disciples. So from that moment throughout history there has been a chain of disciples of Jesus making disciples of Jesus. Wild Street Anglican church is just joining in the chain.
What is a disciple?
We believe a disciple of Jesus does four main things that are like walking through a house. A Disciple:
Connects
It is like the front door. People connect with God and his people around his word at church. It is not the only place to connect but we believe it is the primary place
Grows
It is like the living room where you share life together. A disciple grows in Gospel community. We believe the primary expression of this is growth groups in peoples homes. Growth groups are a place that loves, serves and grows together around the Word Of God.
Serves
That is the kitchen. A disciples serves others in a team. God wants to use each of us to help each other grow as disciples of Jesus.
GO's
That is the Neighbourhood. A disciple goes to make disciples wherever you live your everyday life. It doesn't mean that everyone leaves the church and goes overseas but we do pray that would be true for some.
